    That picture is very striking. I have never noticed petal edges turned up quite like that before.I’ll have to look more closely at mine.

      Thanks, Jule. This plant was drought-stressed, like everything is here. I think in a normal year the petals would have looked different. We don’t normally water our natives and these coneflowers seem to tolerate drought very well, but you can still see the stress, especially in the blooms.
